WalkerHughes Carrier Connect is an initiative to connect to our core carrier partners through API's enabling agents and insureds to complete basic policy changes through the WalkerHughes online experience.

At WalkerHughes, we are continuously looking to improve our customer journey. A major area of disconnection we have identified when compared to captive agencies is the insured's ability to make everyday changes to their personal lines policies within their own independent agents' portal. Currently, insureds must either call their agent or set up a separate portal for each carrier they maintain a policy with creating a confusing experience for the average consumer.

We are looking to change this story by partnering with a few select carriers to deliver a cohesive customer journey that can rival that of the direct writers.

Below are the API's we are requesting be made available for this initiative, not only to enhance the customer experience, but also bolster the long-term relationship between WalkerHughes and our core carrier partners.

We understand that every implementation will look different. This site is intended to be a guide to the information, objects, and endpoints being requested rather than static implementation requirements. Alternative objects, properties, requests, responses, or protocols are expected.

Each endpoint is crafted to provide value, in most cases, independently of other endpoints. With this in-mind, we are aware that all endpoints requested may not be possible or feasible initially. Regardless, we are still looking to partner on any available or feasible options, and it is not seen as an all or nothing implementation on the endpoints we have identified.
